It's been a long time since I've updated my blog. To be honest Instagram has become my news page due to the convenience of it but I have missed more detailed posts so I'm back.
2015 was a pretty fun year, with 2 solo shows in New York and some fun commissions locked down. I had some time to decompress and prepare for my next project.
2016 is all about taking some time to focus on my next solo show this summer, learning new techniques and enjoying the process of creating new works. I look forward to sharing updates with you.
Another legend in the Hip Hop world, MF DOOM has been a big inspiration over the years for me so it only seemed right to base my next piece on the metal faced villain.
Info on the original and print release on this coming up soon!
I was contacted a few months ago to create a Biggie piece in my style. Honestly I didn't really know what my style was at the time as the majority of my works differ depending what mood I'm in.
A week prior to being contacted about this piece I was in New York with my lady and we visited The Met. We spent hours exploring the rooms taking every bit of it in. We then came to The Masters section. It blew me away and inspired me more than anything I had ever seen. It was from this point I knew I wanted to develop my work using oils.
This piece means a lot to me as it set up my show, "Master Impressions" with Freshly Baked Gallery and set the tone for current and future works.
I am currently working on a commission for a friend of mine of Pharrell Williams. Here's where I am at right now. Updates on the way!
