Zach Wolfe x Amar Stewart came about last year. After having so many requests to paint Andre 3000, I looked for the right image to do the painting justice. I came across an insane image of 3 Stacks surrounded by records. After doing some research, I learnt that Zach’s work has had a major impact on Hip-Hop culture having done shoots with Tyler the Creator, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, OutKast and so many other icons. After reaching out to ask if we could collaborate, he agreed and I recreated the image in my own style.

Here’s what Zach had to say about the original photo he took….
“Shot in Atlanta GA on June 14th 2014 for Esquire Magazine. Location is a local record shop in the Little 5 Points neighborhood called Wax N Facts. Andre showed up to the shoot by himself and just free styled setups with me. The shot with him looking up next to all the records happened as an accident. We were walking to the back storage room of Wax N Facts and I looked to my right and noticed this tiny area full of records but with a small opening and i immediately asked andre to sit in that area. Within 5 frames we had the shot and moved on. These kind of shots happen once in a lifetime.”
